You had a car loan and your car got repossessed
So you had a car loan and you blew it eh? Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us. If you take out a loan on your car and you default on the payments your car will get repossessed. This is just one of those things that happens.
If you have already defaulted on your car payments then you need to watch your car like a hawk because those repo men will come and take from wherever they can. This may be from your work, wouldn’t that be embarrassing, your home or even the grocery store. Whenever they feel they have a clear shot at getting the car they are gong to go for it.
What you need to do is keep things from getting to this point in the first place. Make your payments each month on the day they are scheduled for. And if you can’t make them, which does happen from time to time, contact the lender and let them know what is going on. You would be surprised at how helpful lenders can be in these types of situations, after all they want their money right?
You may also want to consider giving the lender the car back before the repo man comes. This can save a lot of time and energy not to mention money. If your car gets repossessed you have to pay for the tow, but if you hand it in you could save hundreds of dollars.
Bottom line is that you need to always let your lender what is going on when you are having trouble making your payments. It is the only way to keep the repo man at bay.
